Deposit Bonus Information:
Cake Poker offer 100% on your first deposit, up to $100 OR 50% match up to $200.
Do not deposit any more than needed to maximise the bonus, because you have to earn 6 POP points for every dollar you deposit, not every dollar of bonus. This is another reason neteller rocks - same $120 max bonus, but less dollars on deposit means it clears faster.
You get 1 POP point for every 10c in rake, and need 2400 to clear the bonus. This bonus was worth about $2.50 per hour of 1/2 holdem I played - because it's rake based, your mileage may vary.

Cake Poker are a joint venture between a BVI investment fund and ADLM (one of the bigger european online gambling companies). Not surprising that a global alliance like this would offer a promotion to send you to the World Poker Tour.
Cake Poker use Action Poker software. It's not one of the big networks (582 Holdem players online on a Thursday night) but still seems like a pretty solid package. The bird's eye view of the fake-real table bugged me a little bit - if you're going to pretend that your software is a real poker table, at least do it with pseudo-3D. The community cards are a little bit small and chunky. However, there was no significant lagging, hanging, or crashing (all of which happen from time to time just because of the vagueries of computers).
One of the very nice features that they offer is the widest variety of Poker (and poker-related) games I've seen. Obviously, they have holdem, stud (and hi/lo), omaha (and hi/lo), but they also offer guts poker, chinese poker, big2 poker, and Panguingue. I don't totally understand the other games, but they are fun to play for small stakes.
However, many of the sites on this network have something of a bad reputation. They are associated with online casinos that froze some player's accounts for "bonus abuse", and other sites on this network are borderline spammers. I'm not saying there's anything definately wrong with Cake Poker, but some of the other Action poker sites are a little shady. I got my money in and out without any problems, and I have heard no specific complaints about Cake Poker (apart from an over-zealous affiliate spamming a bunch of players). But I'm just trying to keep you informed.
Cake Poker have a Live Support feature, and they got back to me very quickly, and knew what they were talking about. This is a good thing. Cashout to Neteller took a day and a half. Because of the casinos on this site, there are a number of bad players, just not very many of them.
Overall, I'm happy playing at Cake Poker, and believe that they have been tainted by association with some of the smaller pokerprofit software users. The main site on the network - Action Poker is legit, and associated with a legit casino. BUT, I didn't put a large part of my bankroll in there, just the portion I have earmarked for new sites, casino bonuses, and such like. If you are of a nervous disposition, then perhaps wait a little while to make sure Cake Poker stick arund and don't rip anyone off. Like everything, only do what you feel comfortable with.
